Many investors prefer the ease of the professionally managed ROI Portfolios that automatically adjust as the beneficiary ages. For investors wanting a more hands on approach to investing BSG offers Target and Individual Fund Portfolios.
Types of Investment Options
BSG offers three categories of investment portfolios: ROI, Target, and BSG Individual Fund Portfolios. Customize your account to your own investing style, whether it's aggressive, moderate, or conservative.
Return On Investment (ROI) Portfolios
ROI Portfolios automatically adjust from more aggressive, equity-focused investment allocations when the designated beneficiary is younger, to more conservative, fixed-income and money market-based investment allocations as the designated beneficiary gets older. These adjustments are made automatically. The BSG ROI Portfolios allow you to select between conservative, moderate, and aggressive investment styles. You also have the diversity and choice to select between an Index Strategy that utilizes BSG funds or a Multi-Firm Strategy that utilizes multiple fund families including BSG, Youths Club, RNIT, Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE), and other quality fund families.
Target Portfolios
BSG features six different Target Portfolios. In contrast to our ROI Portfolios, Target Portfolios remain constant over time, allowing account owners to select a fixed-asset allocation for the life of their account. Each Target Portfolio has a different investment strategy and objective. More aggressive asset allocations feature greater exposure to equity-focused investment funds, while more conservative asset allocations focus primarily on fixed-income and money market investment funds. You also have the diversity and choice to select between an Index Strategy that utilizes BSG funds or a Multi-Firm Strategy that utilizes multiple fund families including BSG, Youths Club, RNIT, Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE), and other quality fund families.
Individual Portfolios
To provide additional flexibility and choice, BSG offers 17 Individual Fund Portfolios. You will be able to select any combination of the Individual Fund Portfolios to design a portfolio to meet your needs, risk tolerance, and investing style.
